Target Commits to Holding 2024 Prices
Retail giant Target has announced a price freeze on several key back-to-school items for 2025, offering relief to families preparing for the new academic year. As part of its Target back-to-school 2025 initiative, the company revealed in a June 23, the company revealed that shoppers will continue to enjoy the same prices they saw in 2024 for essential school supplies. This includes a list of 20 must-have items for under $20, and the return of its best-selling $5 backpack.
“This is such an important time for everyone preparing to head back to class — or heading off to school for the first time,” said Rick Gomez, Executive Vice President at Target. “We’re proud to support families with affordable prices, high-quality products, and stylish options as they prepare for the school year.”
Deals for Students, Teachers, and Circle Members
As part of the Target back-to-school 2025 offerings, the company will roll out exclusive discounts for both students and teachers. Teacher essentials like storage bins, dry erase markers, and classroom décor will start at just $3.50. Students can expect deals on everything from $2 water bottles to $5 wired headphones.
Target also confirmed the return of its annual Target Circle Week, a highly anticipated shopping event set to take place from July 6 to July 12. During this week, customers can find discounts across school supplies, electronics, and more. Target Circle 360 members will receive early access on July 5, along with a 50% discount on the membership fee through September 13.
New Line of Affordable School Supplies Launched
Complementing the price hold, Target back-to-school 2025 will also feature a new range of budget-friendly school items. These include notebooks priced at just 35 cents, composition books starting at 50 cents, and lunch sacks available for $3. For first-day fashion, the brand’s Cat & Jack clothing line will offer outfits starting from $5, catering to both budget-conscious and style-focused families.
Additionally, Target’s under-$5 range now includes over 1,000 back-to-school items, ensuring that parents and students can find what they need without breaking the bank.
By maintaining last year’s prices and launching new low-cost options, Target continues to position itself as a reliable partner for families during the back-to-school season.
