Tell us about MulticoreWare and what made you decide to found the business.
Our journey with MulticoreWare began in 2009. At the time, processor performance was measured by the number of cores rather than the clock frequency. There was a gap in software development for these homogeneous and heterogeneous processing architectures when multicore processors first appeared. Our clients were having trouble making effective use of multi-core, multi-architecture systems due to the introduction of GPUs and their rising popularity.
In order to create a business that provides software and middleware for this market, we came together with some of the brightest parallel programmers and academics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Tell us a little bit about your team.in MulticoreWare Inc.
We were committed to building a team that had representation from both industry and academia from the very beginning. It is essential for a company like ours to continuously examine new technologies and be ready to apply them to our goods and services. People on our team who have contributed so much and been with us for years.
We still adhere to this attitude today and collaborate on joint initiatives with universities with which we have R&D partnerships. Additionally, this enables us to recruit new talent to our diverse staff.
Tell us a little bit about your professional background.
In the past 25 years, I have worked on projects including the transition of homogeneous and heterogeneous multi-core markets, bootstrapping start-up businesses, system-level product creation and design, engineering management, and overall company strategy. I’ve had success establishing, growing, and running businesses in different nations.
I have also worked with non-governmental organisations in the field of education, particularly one that aims to fill systemic gaps with high-quality, inexpensive models.
I was also associated with TiE in Silicon Valley, where I held the positions of president and director. One of the biggest conferences for entrepreneurs, TiECON has influenced many entrepreneurs, including myself, since the early 1990s.
What major accomplishments have you made in your business life?
I’ve always thought that developing a new technology or product should help society as a whole. Our ability to build products on open-source platforms at MulticoreWare has allowed a sizable developer community to contribute and advance this project.
