Taco Bell has introduced a new limited-time dessert that has fans buzzing with excitement. On February 20, the fast-food chain launched the Milk Bar Birthday Cake Churros at select locations nationwide. This special treat was created in partnership with Milk Bar, a well-known dessert company.
Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “We love partnerships that play with form and flavor, which is exactly what we’ve done with this extra-celebratory take on the churro,” she said in a press release. Matthews added that the dessert captures the nostalgic flavors of birthday cake, making any day feel special.
The churros are priced at $1.99 for one and $2.99 for two, available only while supplies last. Customers are already planning trips to Taco Bell to get their hands on the festive treat.
Social Media Frenzy Over the New Treat
Taco Bell fans took to social media to express their excitement over the birthday cake-inspired dessert. Many Instagram users called it an “early birthday present,” while others shared plans to buy it in honor of their loved ones’ birthdays.
One user joked, “It’s not my birthday, but it is my birthday,” while another wrote, “It’s my husband’s birthday! I know what we’re doing today.” A similar sentiment was shared by another fan, who commented, “My wife’s bday is today, that’s so funny. XOXO, Taco Bell.”
Unlike traditional churros, this new version is deep-fried, filled with frosting, and topped with pink sprinkles—a combination that merges classic Mexican flavors with Milk Bar’s signature birthday cake twist.
Taco Bell and Milk Bar Reunite for Another Sweet Collaboration
This marks the second collaboration between Taco Bell and Milk Bar. Their first partnership in 2022 brought the Strawberry Bell Truffles, which were also a limited-time offer. Milk Bar’s Chef and Founder, Christina Tosi, said they were excited to join forces again to create a dessert that turns everyday moments into celebrations.
Milk Bar is also releasing its version of a churro-inspired dessert: the Churro Birthday Cake Truffle. This mini cake is filled with frosting and coated in sprinkles and cake crumbles. To celebrate, Milk Bar’s New York flagship store at 1196 Broadway is offering free Churro Birthday Cake Truffles for one day only, while supplies last.
With both Taco Bell and Milk Bar offering special birthday-themed treats, dessert lovers have plenty of reasons to celebrate—whether it’s their actual birthday or not!
